SCHOONER TRIP - a sailing Program supported by the Educational Foundation. Over the past few years, mainly due to the pandemic, this program has been changed into many different forms. But this year, we are hoping to bring it back in its original form - a five day schooner trip sailing across the waters of Long Island sound all the way to Connecticut! Students learn the tough life on the sea, help the crew prepare their meals, scrub the floors, learn the ins and outs of sailing and also get to have some fun on the water. Students do not have access to phones or electronics for the entirety of the trip and although many found it intimidating in the beginning, they ended up loving the quality time they spent with their friends, their captain & the crew.
